Richard Temple's diaries for 1827-29 were edited and published by Hirst and Blackett of Great Marlborough Street in 1862:

• Volume 1: 3 July 1827 to 29 March 1828
• Volume 2: 1 April 1828 to 1 November 1828
• Volume 3: 3 November 1828 to 12 August 1829

The Memorandum of Agreement for publication of the Diaries was signed in June 1852. Many personal details were omitted on publication, either by Chandos or by the editor, Mrs K.C. Maberly. 

The original diaries survive at the Huntington Library (HEH ST 98).
