30 May 1845. Appoint of Henry Cory of Lincolns Inn Fields as Auditor to the 2nd Duke's estates. 

Know all men by these presents, that I, the Most Noble Richard Plantaganet Duke of Buckingham and Chandos K.G. do hereby constitute and appoint Henry Cory of Lincolns Inn in the Court of Middlesex, Barrister at Law, to be auditor of, and for all and singular my Manors, Messuages, Lands, Tenements Hereditaments and Estates whatsoever in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and also in the Island and Jamaica in the West Indies during my Will and Pleasure only. And I hereby authorise & empower my Said Auditor from henceforth from time to time to enter into & view and manage my said estates, and to give such orders and directions to the several Solicitors, Receivers and other persons employed by me, touching or concerning or in any way relating to my said estates, as he my said auditor shall or may think necessary, proper, or expedient. And I further authorise and empower my said Auditor for me, and in my name, or for and on my part and behalf from henceforth to inspect & examine, check, audit, pass and allow, or otherwise to disallow, as he should see proper, all of any the [sic] several receipts, payments, claims, charges [accounts?], & disbursements of the several Receivers, Solicitors, & other persons employed by me, are aforesaid, and to act in the general superintendence, control, and management of my said Estates and of my officers[1] generally, as shall or may from time to time be required of him, or shall or might be necessary or proper for all or any of the purposes aforesaid. And whatsoever my said Auditor shall lawfully do, or cause to be done in or about the premises, I do hereby allow, ratify, and confirm. And I hereby agree to allow unto the said Henry Cory for his executing the said office of auditor aforesaid, so long as he should hold the same by virtue [these presents?], the annual sum of £1000 payable by four equal quarterly payments on the first day of January, the first day of April the first of July, the first day of October in every year
