Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos: Sir Edward Hyde East

1764-1847. MP for Winchester and confidant of the the first Duchess. Allied to the first Duke in politics and a Grenvillite MP. He was trustee of their 1796 marriage settlement.

1764: Born in Jamaica. He was son of Edward East the Duchess of Chandos's agent on the island and Amy Hall (married 1761).
